Our People
Our small team of highly qualified agronomists and agricultural scientists are committed to continual development of new products which are in-line with the company philosophy. Key employees have been involved in the development and manufacture of agricultural humate products since 1991. Our collaboration with Monash University and other research institutions in Australia provides additional resources for product development and testing.

Our Company
Omnia Specialities Australia is a leading manufacturer of Humate and Fulvate products based in Victoria Australia. The Humates and Fulvates are made from top quality leonardite.
The company had been manufacturing humate soil conditioners and fertilisers in Australia since 1991, and was acquired by the Omnia group in 2003. Omnia Specialities Australia has a company philosophy based around sustainable agriculture with an emphasis on optimising the physical, chemical and biological properties of soils. Our foremost challenge is to manufacture organic based soil conditioners and fertilisers
that maximise and sustain soil productivity for the benefit of our customers.
In recent years the product range has been expanded to include Trace elements, foliar fertilizers and Kelp products, all with an organic base.
Omnia Specialities Australia has its manufacturing plant and warehouse at Morwell, Victoria. Our marketing office is in Melbourne, the business capital of Australia. Due to our access to unique raw materials in Australia and our innovative product development we have grown into the largest Australian manufacturer of natural humate based products.

Rene Mommers
Manager
After graduating in pharmacy in his home country Holland, Rene moved to Australia to work in various manufacturing industries. He has applied his skills and knowledge in production supervision and quality control to the benefit of a number of large Australian companies prior to joining Omnia Specialities Australia Pty Ltd. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that Omnia Specialities agricultural products meet worlds best practice in terms of quality and customer service

Sammy Heng
Business Development Manager
Sammy is a graduate of Lincoln University, NZ one of the foremost agricultural tertiary institutions in the world. After completing a PhD in soil chemistry, Sammy worked with CSIRO in Australia on coal processing and utilisation and later managed various projects on re-utilisation of agricultural by-products and wastes. He has extensive knowledge and experience in soil management for sustainable agriculture and horticulture.

Jan De Jager
Specialist Nutritionist, MSc Agric
When Jan graduated he was awarded a Gold medal as the, Best BSc Agric Student by the South African Society of Crop Production. Jan specialises in nutrition and product development since 1988. He emigrated to Australia during 1999.

Janus Erasmus
Specialist Agronomist
Janus Erasmus is a Specialist Agronomist with good experience in plant nutrition and soil science. Janus graduated with a B.Sc in Plant and Soil Science and has more than 10 years of field experience working with a wide range of horticultural and broadacre before joining the team at Omnia Specialities Australia. With a strong knowledge in Omnia’s Nutriology and OmniSap Diagnostic Programs, Janus provides invaluable technical and agronomic support to our clients.

Rob Clarke
Managing Director Australasia
Rob was educated in Southern Africa, graduating from Natal University with a Bachelors degree in agriculture. and then completed an MBL. He has 30 years of experience in agronomy and business. Rob is currently managing the Omnia businesses in Australasia.
