When Jan graduated he was awarded a Gold medal as the best BSc Agric Student by the South African Society of Production. He also obtained a BSc Honours and a Masters degree. Jan presented Agronomy classes at the University of Pretoria as a guest lecturer until he emigrated to Australia in 1999. Jan has specialised in nutrition and product development since 1988 and joined Omnia in 1992.

Sammy Heng

Sammy is a graduate of Lincoln University NZ, one of the foremost agricultural tertiary institutions in the world. After completing a PhD in soil chemistry, Sammy worked with CSIRO in Australia on coal processing and utilisation and later managed various projects on re-utilisation of agricultural by-products and wastes. He has extensive knowledge and experience in soil management for sustainable agriculture and horticulture.

Simon Hales

Simon’s background is in technical sales and marketing. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science from Swinburne, a Graduate Diploma in Colloid Science and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on Technology Management, from Deakin University.

Simon is a Business Development Manager with Omnia, with the responsibilities to identify, support and develop International clients and to support sales to clients in the Melbourne region.

Ruaan Du Plessis

Ruaan Du Plessis currently lives in Shepparton, Victoria and manages the following regions: Western & Northern Victoria, excluding Sunraysia & the Riverland region. He is also responsible for Southern NSW and the Riverina region of NSW. He trained as agronomist in South Africa and has been involved in various input supply companies over the past 15 years as an agronomist. He joined Omnia Australia in April 2010 and he looks forward to helping customers with their crop nutrition needs, and helping to grow better crops more efficiently.

Johan Prinsloo

Johan has tertiary qualifications in Agriculture with Soil Science, Agronomy and Irrigation Engineering as majors. He offers 26 years of intensive experience in producing crops under hydroponics, broadacre and intensive vegetable production.

He found his niche in Omnia Specialities through the application of diagnostic services in the farming and horticultural community within NSW and Tasmania. He is supported by a range of speciality products on offer to Agricultural and Horticultural growers.

Johan has a passion for various Agricultural industries and strives to build a good rapport with all his customers.

Andrew Doecke

With a background in dryland farming, Andrew began his career in horticulture in 1990, completing a certificate in horticultural practise before moving into nutritional management in 1995. He has extensive experience in warm climate horticulture, including running his own stonefruit orchard and retail health outlets, he brings a wide experience to growers in the Riverland and Sunraysia regions. Committed to designing and monitoring nutrition programs for maximum returns, Andrew enjoys the challenges of assisting growers to manage their inputs for best practise outcomes.

Having worked with Omnia for over 6 years, he appreciates their knowledge base and commitment to a complete nutritional solution.

Brendan Lauman

Brendan has achieved a Bachelors degree in agricultural science and joined Omnia in 2005. Prior to Omnia, he worked as a sales agronomist with a leading rural merchandise company for 9 years and 3 years with independent distributors before that. His experience encompasses a vast range of horticultural and orchard crops grown in temperate, tropical and wet tropical environments. Brendan has a great deal of experience in nutritional programming in all soil types with a primary focus on profitability for the grower.

Bendre Lubbe

Bendre Lubbe graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and holds a BSc Agric (Hons) degree in Horticulture. In South Africa he was registered with the Professional Natural Scientist Authority. He has 10 years experience in the field of soil and plant nutrition and has worked for Omnia since 2001 as Specialist Agronomist in Zambia, South Africa and Australia. Bendre currently services South Australia.

Rene Mommers

After graduating in Pharmacy in his home country Holland, Rene moved to Australia to work in various manufacturing industries.
